This standard specifies requirements for radiological protection in industrial X-ray radiography in special room, industrial X-ray computed tomography and industrial X-ray radiography on site.
This standard is applicable to detection with 500kV industrial X-ray radiography facilities below (hereinafter referred to as X-ray facilities or detector).
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
Industrial X-ray radiography facilities
A generic term for X-ray photography or computed tomography equipment for internal structure of objects including X-ray tube head assembly, control box and connecting cable. X-ray radiography facilities may be classified into directional and circumferential types according to emission direction of X-ray and window range and into stationary and mobile types according to mounting forms.
2.2
Industrial X-ray radiography in special room
A work process of inspection on internal structure of the detected object with X-ray generated by X-ray radiography facilities in detection room.
2.3
Industrial X-ray radiography on site
A work process of inspection on internal structure of the object with mobile X-ray radiography facilities in open air, in production workshop or on installation site.
2.4
Industrial X-ray computed tomography
A work process to display internal structure, compositions, materials and defect conditions of the detected object, in two-dimensional tomographic image or three-dimensional image, with industrial X-ray computed tomography device.
