3. Dissolving and Smear Filter Membranes
3.1 Principle
Dissolve perchloroethylene filter membrane collected with dust into organic solvent as dust particle suspension, and then make specimens out of it; measure the size of dust and count the dust particles under the microscope, and calculate the percentage of dust particles with different sizes.
3.2 Apparatus
3.2.1 Porcelain crucible or beaker: 25 mL.
3.2.2 Glass slide: 75mm×25mm×1mm.
3.2.3 Microscope.
3.2.4 Ocular micrometer.
3.2.5 Object micrometer: a standard measurement with the total length of 1mm and divided evenly into 100 scales, each division value being 0.01mm, namely, 10μm(See Figure 1).
