1 Scope

This standard specifies requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and safety.
This standard is applicable to hexachloroethane for industrial use, recovered from the residue discharged from the production of carbon tetrachloride by natural gas heat chlorination method and produced from tetrachloroethylene after crystallization and drying. This product is used for organic synthetic materials as well as degassing agent and smoke agent for smelting aluminum and its alloy.
