This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of zinc rich primer.
This standard is applicable to the multicomponent coating composed of zinc powder (except flake zinc powder), inorganic or organic binder and curing agent, solvent etc. and this coating is mainly used for rust protection of steel substrate.
This standard is not applicable to non-zinc-rich products of which the metallic zinc content in non-volatile matters is lower than 60%.
