1 Scope

This Standard specifies product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of lining for friction hoist.
This Standard is applicable to lining for friction hoist. Friction lining is applicable to the power transmission between the pulley and steel wire rope for friction hoist as well as that in other similar situations.
