This standard specifies the type, model, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of the vertical self-priming pump.
This standard is applicable to the non-sealing vertical self-priming pump (hereinafter referred to as the pump) transmitting the liquid containing solid particles and corrosive liquid or other liquid in the fields of agriculture, electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, medicine, galvanization, textile printing and dyeing and sewage disposal, etc.

3 Type, Model and Basic Parameters
3.1 Type
3.1.1 Non-sealing vertical self-priming pumps
3.1.2 The pump is classified into the following according to the connection with the motor:
a) Coaxial;
b) Non-coaxial.
3.1.3 The pump is classified into the following according to the purpose and structure:
a) Rectangular (fixed or movable);
b) Conoid;
c) Explosion-proof type.
3.1.4 The pump is classified into the following according to the working feature:
a) Continuous operation.
b) Interval operation.
3.1.5 The protection grade of the enclosure for the pump motor shall meet the requirements of GB/T 4942.1 (only applicable to the pump which is connected to the motor with the same axle).
3.1.6 The rotation direction of pump will be clockwise when looking from the motor end.
3.2 Model
3.2.1 Model expression method
The model of the pump is expressed by the capital letter of Chinese phonetic alphabet and Arabic numbers, and its meaning is as follows:
