3 Technical Requirements
3.1 Casting Classification
3.1.1 Castings are classified into three types according to working conditions, purposes and hazard degrees caused by damage, and shall be indicated in figures and relevant technical documents. The unindicated casting type is considered as Type 3.
Type 1 casting: key casting bearing working conditions such as large dynamic load, static load and alternate load or that endangering the safe operation of main machine where damaged.
Type 2 casting: important casting bearing medium static load and dynamic load or that endangering the normal operation of component where damaged.
Type 3 casting: general-purpose light-load casting.
3.1.2 Example of casting label
Figure label of casting covers alloy designation or code, casting method, supply state, casting type and code of this standard.
