This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, classification, shape and specifications, marks, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and certificates, transportation and storage of fiber-cement cable conduit and joint.
This standard is applicable to fiber-cement cable conduit (hereinafter referred to as cable conduit) and joint produced with inorganic mineral fibers, organic synthetic fibers or plant fibers as reinforced materials for protecting electric wires or cables in the fields of electric power, communication and others.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terminologies and definitions apply.
3.1
Cable conduit (code: FCP)
Fiber-cement pipe used to protect electric wires or cables in the fields of electric power, communication and others.
3.2
Joint (code: FCJ)
Pipe connectors made of cable conduit materials of the same (or higher) type.
