This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, labels and as well as packaging, transport and storage of mineral wool decorating and acoustic ceilings.
This standard is applicable to mineral wool acoustic ceilings by wet process; it is also applicable to mineral wool acoustic ceilings by dry process.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions as well as those defined in GB/T 4132 are applicable to this standard.
3.1 Sound absorption coefficient
The ratio between absorbed and transmitted sound energy flux and incident sound power flux under given frequency and conditions.
3.2 Noise reduction coefficient
The average value of measured sound absorption coefficients under 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz and 2000Hz.
3.3 Right angle deviation
The degree of deviating right angle on two adjacent sides; it is expressed by the ratio of the maximum gap and side length between L-square and board.
