1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Specification is formulated with a view to implementing the national technical and economic policies in the design and construction of post-installed fastenings in concrete structures, achieving safety, applicability and economy and guaranteed quality.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance for the post-installed fastenings using reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and plain concrete as the base materials but not to those using masonry, lightweight aggregate concrete and special concrete.
1.0.3 The design, construction and acceptance of post-installed fastenings in concrete structures shall comply with not only this Specification but also the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Concrete structure
The structure is mainly made by concrete, including plain concrete structure, reinforced concrete structure and prestressed concrete structure, etc.
2.1.2 Post-installed fastening
It refers to the anchorage on existing concrete structure by means of related techniques.
2.1.3 Anchor
It refers to the anchorage component products by which the piece to be anchored on the base material and classified into mechanical and adhesive ones.
2.1.4 Mechanical anchor
It refers to those of which anchoring is formed under the friction or latching action between anchor and anchor hole and can be classified into two types—undercut and expansion—by its working principle.
2.1.5 Undercut anchor
It refers to the anchor of which the anchoring effect is formed the latching between the undercut at anchor hole bottom and anchor component and can be classified into formwork undercut and self-undercut ones.
2.1.6 Expansion anchor
It refers to the anchor of which anchoring effect is formed by squeezing the anchor hole wall with expansion piece and can be classified into the torque controlled type and displacement controlled type.
2.1.7 Adhesive anchor
It refers to the anchor which is composed of metal screw and anchoring adhesive and whose anchoring effect if formed by using anchoring adhesive and can be classified into common and obconic ones.
2.1.8 Post-installed rebar
It refers to a post-installed fastening method by which ribbed steel bars or full-thread screw rods are planted in concrete base material with special organic or inorganic adhesive.
2.1.9 Base material
It refers to the matrix structure bearing anchors and in this Specification, it refers to concrete member.
2.1.10 Anchor group
Multiple anchors which are in the same type and specification, jointly work together with spacing within the critical.
2.1.11 Fixture
It refers to the metal component transferring load to anchors.
2.1.12 Failure mode
