1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This specification is formulated in order to ensure construction and acceptance quality of building surface decoration.
1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the construction and acceptance for the finishing engineering on the substrates such as cement mortar plaster substrate, composite mortar plaster substrate, concrete substrate, plasterboard substrate, ornament mortar substrate, loam brick substrate and the former coating etc.
1.0.3 Construction and acceptance of building surface decoration shall not only meet this specification, but also meet the requirements of current related compulsory standards of the nation.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Building surface decoration
It refers to the ornament and protective procedures on buildings with finishing materials.
2.0.2 Substrate
It refers to surface layer of the finishing object, such as concrete, cement mortar, composite mortar, plasterboard, loam brick and other materials.
2.0.3 Priming-coat
It refers to the coating formed by finishing first layer of coating on the substrate.
2.0.4 Finishing -coat
It refers to the last layer of coating in finishing process.
2.0.5 Intermediate-coat
It refers to the coating between finishing-coat and priming-coat.
2.0.6 Service-life
It refers to the achievable service life period under the premise that finishing materials meet the requirements of building ornament and protection.
3 Basic requirements
3.0.1 Necessary design and treatment of building technology shall be made on finishing surface of buildings according to characteristics of the used finishing materials and buildings.
3.0.2 The Finishing construction temperature shall comply with the temperature range specified in the product instruction; the relative humidity of air should be less than 85% in construction. In the case of dense fog, strong wind and raining, outdoor engineering construction shall be stopped.
3.0.3 Finishing construction shall meet the relevant requirements in current national standard GB 6514 "Safety Code for Painting-Safety, Ventilation and Air Clean-up for Painting Process" and "Safety code for painting--Labor safety and labor health management". If there is harmful effect on human body when the finishing materials is flying apart or solvent is volatizing, operating personnel shall provide with labor protection.
3.0.4 As for finishing materials for interior wall, it shall not only meet relevant standards of the nation for finishing material, but also shall be implemented of environmental requirements in current national standard GB 18582 "Indoor decorating and refurbishing materials - Limit of harmful substances of interior architectural coatings" and GB 50325 "Code for indoor environmental pollution control of civil building engineering".
3.0.5 In order to reach the quality requirement for building surface decoration, curing period and construction period of the substrate as well as the curing period of coating must be ensured.
