1.0.1 This Standard is formulated for the purpose of specifying the wind tunnel test method of buildings and structures and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of wind tunnel test result.
1.0.2 This Standard is applicable to the wind tunnel test of buildings and structures.
1.0.3 Besides the requirements of this Standard, the wind tunnel test of buildings and structures shall also comply with those specified in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Atmospheric boundary layer
The atmospheric layer close to the ground and where the wind field characteristics change obviously with height.
2.1.2 Boundary layer wind tunnel
Cave-shaped test facility produced by human being and capable of controlling air flow and simulating the flow field characteristics of atmospheric boundary layer.
2.1.3 Wind tunnel test
The test conducted in wind tunnel aiming at researching the flow phenomena and aerodynamic effect generated when air flows through objects.
2.1.4 Rigid model
The model of buildings whose deformation and displacement as well as influence on flow field may be negligible at test wind speed.
2.1.5 Wind pressure test
The wind tunnel test for measuring the wind pressure on building surface under wind action with pressure sensor and capable of obtaining the shape coefficient of building.
2.1.6 Wind force test
The wind tunnel test for measuring the force-bearing of the whole building under wind action with force sensor.
2.1.7 Aeroelastic model test
The wind tunnel test for measuring the wind-induced vibration of aeroelastic model under wind action.
2.1.8 CFD numerical simulation
The method of researching flow phenomena and aerodynamic effect on the basis of computing flow parameter by numerical method according to the principle of computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
2.1.9 Average wind speed profile
The profile formed according to the change of average wind speed with height in atmospheric boundary layer.
2.1.10 Turbulence intensity
The ratio of the root mean square of turbulent fluctuation wind speed to the average wind speed.
2.1.11 Turbulence integral scale
The scale value obtained by taking integral for the spatial correlation function of turbulent fluctuation speed.
2.1.12 Geometric scale
The ratio of the geometric size of test model to prototype.
