This standard specifies the basic requirements for packing safety of dangerous cargo into container, preparation work before packing, loading operation rules for dangerous cargo, requirements for sealing operations, post-packing, records and documents.
This standard is applicable to the packing of dangerous cargo into container by marine transport. It is the basis for the control and inspection of packing safety and quality by the transportation, warehousing, production, business and supervision management departments.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
dangerous cargo
substances or articles that, with the characteristics of explosion, flammability, poison, corrosion, radioactivity, contamination hazard, etc., easy to cause personal injury, property damage or environmental pollution are required to be protected specially during transport. International maritime transportation is in conformity with International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and domestic marine transportation is in conformity with GB 6944 and GB 12268
