This standard specifies those requirements for food additive rosemary extract including classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to powdery products, produced via processes such as ethanol solution extraction and refinement, using stalk and leaves of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) as materials. The main effective constituents of its fat-soluble products are carnosol, carnosic acid, rosemary phenol and the like; those of water-soluble products are rosemary acid, hesperidin, caffeic acid and the like.
