Precious metal alloy coatings jewellery - General technical requirements of plating
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definition, types, requirements and test methods of plating for precious metal alloy (e.g. gold, silver and rhodium) coatings jewellery.
This standard is applicable to the palting of precious metal (gold, silver, rhodium, etc.) coatings jewellery made of tin alloy, zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, copper alloy and other metals as base materials.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
blistering
the surface of the plating layer is blistered, which is separated from the base metal or adjacent plating layer but not falling off yet.
3.2
peeling
a plating layer is separated from the base metal or adjacent plating layer.
