This standard specifies the terms and definitions, performance requirements and test methods for bench test of hydraulic brake caliper assembly for automobile service brake.
This standard is applicable to hydraulic brake caliper assembly used for the service brake of Category M and Category N vehicles with the maximum design gross mass less than 3500kg as specified in GB/T 15089. Other categories of hydraulic brake calipers may also refer to the provisions of this standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
required fluid amount
brake fluid volume that shall be injected to keep the brake caliper at a constant hydraulic pressure
Note: the required fluid amount is expressed in mL.
3.2
drag torque
residual rotational resistance torque of brake disc after the hydraulic pressure of brake is released
Note: the drag torque is expressed in N?m.
3.3
brake pads full-wear state
the state when the friction material of brake pad is worn to only 2mm thick
3.4
brake pads half-wear state
the state when the friction material of brake pad is worn to one half of the new brake pad
