This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, storage and preservation of electric fan for automobile radiator (hereinafter referred to as “fan”).
This standard is applicable to fans on automobile engine radiator for discharging the heat therefrom due to driving load. Reference may be made to this standard for fans with brush (DC motor) which have electronic speed controller.
This standard is not applicable to the electronic module of automobile radiator electric fan.

3 Requirements
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 Documents
The fan shall meet the requirements of this standard and shall be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved through established procedure.
