1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to making anti-seismic design for the buildings in petrochemical enterprises have specific fortification objective and criteria in order to reasonably use construction funds and relieve seismic hazard.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the classification of anti-seismic fortification grade of single building engineering for production building in petrochemical enterprises in the area with fortification intensity 6-9.
1.0.3 Anti-seismic fortification intensity of buildings or design parameters of ground motion shall be examined and approved in accordance with the authority specified by the nation and shall be determined in accordance with the issued documents (diagrams).
1.0.4 During the implementation of this standard, the requirements of the current relevant standard specification shall also be complied with.
Chapter 2 General Requirements
2.0.1 The classification of anti-seismic fortification grade for the building shall be considered in accordance with the following principle:
2.0.1.1 Social effect and economic loss caused by seismic damage, emphasis according to the service property;
2.0.1.2 Such factors as anti-seismic potential of the structure itself and the difficulty for use function recovery;
2.0.1.3 Distinguishing classification may be considered when the significance of each unit of the building is different obviously.
2.0.2 For anti-seismic fortification grade of the buildings, A, B, C and D categories may be classified according to the significance of the use function, and the classification shall meet the following requirements:
2.0.2.1 Category A buildings: the buildings which have a strong impact on society and may cause extensive damage on national economy or have special requirements after seismic damage.
2.0.2.2 Category B buildings
(1) Main production buildings in extra-large, large and medium petrochemical enterprises and buildings with key action on normal operation;
(2) Whole-plant buildings for heat supply, power supply, gas supply, water supply, etc. in extra-large, large and medium petrochemical enterprises;
(3) Communication, fire fighting, earthquake disaster prevention and production command center buildings in extra-large, large and medium petrochemical enterprises;
(4) Large warehouses for storing virulent, flammable and explosive materials and warehouses for storing a small amount of radioactive articles.
2.0.2.3 Category C buildings: the general production buildings and the buildings not belonging to A, B and D categories.
2.0.2.4 Category D buildings: the buildings that will not affect above-mentioned buildings if any seismic damage or collapse, and the social effect and economic loss are slight.
2.0.3 Anti-seismic fortification criteria of various buildings shall meet the following requirements:
2.0.3.1 For Category A buildings, seismic action and anti-seismic measures shall be taken in accordance with local fortification intensity plus 1 intensity;
2.0.3.2 The seismic action of Category B buildings shall be adopted in accordance with local anti-seismic fortification intensity; the anti-seismic measures may be divided into the following two grades according to the principles of anti-seismic safety and economy based on the scale and characteristic of the buildings:
(1) Category B Grade 1 (B1), anti-seismic measures shall be taken according to the local fortification intensity plus 1 intensity for Intensity 6-8, and proper increase may be allowed for Intensity 9;
(2) Category B Grade 2 (B2), the structural system with better anti-seismic performance shall be adopted, but the anti-seismic measures shall be still taken according to the local fortification intensity.
2.0.3.3 For Category C buildings, seismic action and anti-seismic measures shall be taken in accordance with local fortification intensity;
2.0.3.4 The seismic action of Category D buildings may not be reduced under normal circumstances; anti-seismic measures shall be taken according to local fortification intensity minus 1 intensity for Intensity 7-9; and there shall be no reduction for Intensity 6.
