1.0.1 This specification was made to make clear of the design requirements of intake of hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering, unify design standards and make the standard safe and suitable for use technically and economically.
1.0.2 This specification is applicable to all kinds of intake design of different design stages in the hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering. The design shall be simplified for intakes of small hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering and temporary engineering and is not applicable to intakes of energy-disparate spillway tunnels in the vertical shafts.
1.0.3 The design of intake of hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering must collect basic data on topography, geology, and hydrology, silt, floating dirt, ice condition, weather, and earthquake and reservoir operation.
1.0.4 Design of intake of hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering shall conform to the current national policy of technical economy, continuous generalized experience and take on scientific experiment and actively take advanced technology at home and abroad with caution and strive for innovation and advancement.
1.0.5 Design of intake of hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering shall conform to provisions of this specification and provisions in current national standards as well.
