1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination of coagulase-positive staphylococci in import and export food
In this standard, the direct plate count method is applicable to counting the coagulase-positive staphylococci in food, and the MPN method is applicable to food with lower coagulase-positive staphylococci and higher infectious microbe. The foods such as animal food etc. may be applied.
2 Equipment and Materials
2.1 Sterilizing equipment: the high-pressure steam sterilization pot and dry heat sterilization box.
2.2 Water bath:48℃±1℃.
2.3 Incubator:36℃±1℃.
2.4 Pipette: 1ml and 10ml, respectively with the division of 0.01ml and 0.1ml.
2.5 Inoculating loop: in the diameter of 3mm.
2.6 Scale: the range of 2kg and the sensitivity of 0.1g.
