1.0.1 This code is formulated to unify the design standards of railway optical fiber cable (cable) transmission engineering, and make the design meet the requirements of safety, applicability, technical advancement and economic feasibility.
1.0.2 This code this code is applicable to the construction and reconstruction engineering of railway optical fiber cable (cable).
1.0.3 The design of railway optical fiber cable (cable) transmission engineering shall follow the national and railway capital construction policies and meet the requirements of railway transportation production and improvement of modern management level.
1.0.4 The design scheme shall meet the requirements of approved feasibility study report and the development planning of railway communication; moreover, proper development capacity shall be reserved.
1.0.5 The long-distance optical fiber cable transmission system of railway shall be adopted with synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) transmission equipment while others may be adopted with synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH).
1.0.6 The existing network facility and equipment shall be properly used for optical fiber cable (cable) transmission engineering and complete matching of system shall be realized according to the whole-process and whole-network requirements.
1.0.7 The engineering design shall not only meet the requirements specified in this code, but also comply with those specified in the relevant current national mandatory standards.
2 Design of Transmission System
2.1 SDH Systematic Rate, Multiplex Structure and Transmission Model
2.1.1 The systematic rate of SDH shall meet the requirements of Table 2.1.1.
