1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to unify railway engineering measuring technical requirements and guarantee survey outcome.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to measurement of newly built rail track, tunnel, bridge and culvert.
1.0.3 As for newly built railway, 1954 Beijing coordinate system shall be adopted. Separated co-ordinate can be used in tunnel survey and bridge culvert measurement.
1.0.4 Elevation system of newly built railway shall adopt 1985 national vertical datum. For special sites without national vertical datum bench mark, other benchmark elevation or independent elevation can be referred to for calculation. When leveling of the whole line is finished, broken height shall be eliminated and be converted into 1985 national vertical datum. It can also be converted into uniform elevation system of the whole line if there are any difficulties.
1.0.5 Measurement accuracy shall be measured by mean square error (standard deviation). Limiting error (limited error) shall be two times of the mean square error.
1.0.6 Triangulation, traversing grade and angular accuracy during tunnel, bridge and culvert measurement shall conform to requirements in table 1.0.6.
