This standard specifies the dimensions, shapes, weights and permissible deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and quality certificate of hot-rolled rings made of low alloy structural steel, quality carbon structural steel and alloy structural steel, which are used as gear rings, bearing rings, grinding rings and flanges.
This standard is applicable to the manufacturing of hot-rolled rings made of low alloy structural steel, quality carbon structural steel and alloy structural steel which are used as gear rings, bearing rings, grinding rings as well as pressure vessel flat welding flanges, welding neck flanges, floating head hook ring flanges and welding neck enamel flanges.

3 Dimensions, shapes, weights and permissible deviations
3.1 Sectional dimensions and permissible deviations
3.1.1 The sectional shapes of the rings are classified into rectangular shape and irregular shape. Wherein, the shape of irregular section shall be negotiated between the supplier and the purchaser.
3.1.2 Dimensions of rings
Outer diameter: 600~2,000mm; height: 70~220mm
Inner diameter: ≥500mm; wall thickness: 50~160mm
The specific dimensions of the rings shall be indicated in the contract.
3.1.3 The permissible dimensional deviations of rings shall meet those specified in Table 1.
