This standard specifies the classifications and code numbers, order contents, dimension, appearance and marking example, technical requirements, testing method, acceptance regulations, package, transportation, storage, mark and quality certificate of low carbon steel wire for general use (hereinafter referred to as steel wire).
This standard is applicable to the low carbon steel wire with circular section for general bounding, nail manufacturing, braiding and building use.

3 Classifications and Code Numbers
3.1 Steel wires are divided into there types according to the delivery state and the classifications and code numbers are as follows:
a) Cold drawn wire
b) Annealing wire TA
c) Zinc coated wire SZ
3.2 According to the functions, the steel wires are to be divided three classes:
a) For general use
b) For nail manufacturing
c) For building use
