This standard is applicable to the test of sharpness and strength of needles tips of medical suture needles, surgical suture needles with thread and acupuncture needles (hereinafter referred to as "tested needles").
2 Principle
With the help of a penetration force test apparatus, vertical penetration of aluminium foil by tested needle with a specified speed. According to the maximum measured force, evaluate the sharpness and penetration force of needle tips of tested needles.
