This standard specifies the Electromagnetic environment parameters limit for ±800kV UHV DC transmission lines under normal operation, including the limit for total ground electric field strength, DC magnetic field, ion current density, radio interference, audible noise and etc.
This standard is applicable to the ±800kV UHV DC overhead lines, and DC lines of other voltage grades may be implemented by reference.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Total electric field strength
The synthetic electric field strength of the field generated by the electric charge on DC live conductor and that generated by space charge caused by conductor corona is referred to as total electric field strength, kV/m. The value of total electric field strength on the ground surface is the total ground electric field strength.
