This standard specifies the types, basic parameters and dimensions of single phase plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes.
This standard is applicable to single phase plugs and fixed or movable socket-outlets with 50Hz AC frequency, 250V rated voltage and rated current not larger than 16A used for household and similar purposes.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions in GB/T 2900.70-2008 and GB 2099.1-2008 are applicable to this standard.
4 Technical Requirements and Test Methods
Technical requirements and test procedures of single phase plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes shall meet the requirements of GB 2099.1-2008.
