This gauge is applicable to the reforged and remade steam locomotives, electric locomotives, diesel locomotives and all kinds of locomotive for 1435 mm standard gauge railway.
Note: "Reforged locomotives" indicates the locomotives which are designed and manufactured after the implementation date of this Standard.
"Remade steam locomotives" indicates the locomotives which have been designed and manufactured before the implementation date of this Standard and remade according to the requirements of this Standard.
2 Definitions
The rolling stock gauge is a ultimate cross-sectional profile perpendicular to the center line of railway. Rolling stock, no matter whether empty locomotive or heavy locomotive, no matter whether new locomotive with maximum standard tolerance or old locomotive with maximum standard tolerance and attrition limit, when park at horizontal straight line without lateral tilting and deviation, all parts shall be accommodated within the outline of gauge, except the risen pantograph collector of electric locomotive.
