This part of GB 21551 specifies the test method and effect evaluation of antimicrobial and anti-mildew (hereinafter referred to as "antibacterial") properties of antibacterial materials, parts and components used in household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances").
This part is applicable to the method and effect evaluation of antibacterial property test for antibacterial materials and relevant antibacterial parts and components used in household appliances.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purpose of this part, terms and definitions defined in GB 21551.1-2008 apply.
4 Evaluation Requirements
Antibacterial material: antibacterial ratio shall be greater than or equal to 90%, meanwhile, it shall meet the requirements specified in 2.3 in Appendix A of GB 21551.1-2008;
Anti-mildew material: anti-mildew grade shall be Grade 1 or Grade 0;
Antibacterial/anti-mildew material: antibacterial ratio shall be greater than or equal to 90%, meanwhile, anti-mildew grade shall be Grade 1 or Grade 0.
