This standard specifies basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of welded steel gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as "cylinders").
This standard is applicable to cylinders used in normal environment temperature of -40℃~60℃, with the hydraulic test pressure not greater than 12MPa (gauge pressure) and the nominal volume of 1 L~1000 L as well as capable of refilling low pressure liquefied gas and its mixture with other compressed gases.
This standard is also applicable to cylinders capable of refilling liquefied petroleum gas for industrial purposes as specified in GB 11174 and the vessel body of dissolved acetylene gas cylinder.
