1.1 This standard is applicable to produce copper or aluminum and its alloy rectangular wires as well as copper strips for electrical motor and windings of electrical equipment, and installing distribution equipment and others for electrical purposes. Standards for these products are follow-up parts of this standard.
1.2 This standard must be used together with follow-up parts such as Part 2, 3 and 4 of GB 5584 - 85.
1.3 Production process shall be able to guarantee products can meet standard provisions.
