1. Scope
This code prescribes the safety criterion of manufacture and installation of passenger lift, sickbed lift and freight lift, so as to prevent passengers and goods from damage during running the lifts.
This code is applicable to power-actuated traction-type or positive passenger lifts, sickbed lifts and freight lifts.
This code is not applicable to dumbwaiter lifts and hydraulic lifts.
