This standard adopts definitions given in GB/T1182.
4. General rule The tolerance class specified in this standard was considered with the general manufacturing accuracy of all kinds of factories. For instance, when a higher tolerance requirement is put forward for a certain element owing to functional requirements, it is suitable to label directly on the drawing according to the requirements in GB/T1182; the wider tolerance requirement is required to give clear indication only if it is beneficial to the factory economy. If the form and position tolerance without individual indications specified in this standard is adopted in drawings or related documents, it is suitable to label according to the requirements of Chapter 6 of this standard, it is applicable to all elements of form and position tolerance without separate label.
