Test method for density of adhesives in fluid form - Method of weight cup
1 Subject content and applicable scope
This standard specifies the method of testing the density of adhesives, and components thereof, when in fluid form with a weight cup of 37.00 mL.
This standard is applicable to the test of density of adhesives in fluid form, especially applicable where the fluid has too high a viscosity or where a component is too volatile for a specific gravity bottle determination.
2 Definitions
density
mass (weight in vacuum) of a unit volume of the adhesive in fluid form at any given temperature. In this method, the density is obtained by dividing the mass of adhesive in fluid form in a weight cup with a capacity of 37.00 mL at 20℃ by 37.00 mL
3 Apparatus
3.1 Weight cup: a metal cup with a capacity of 37.00 mL at 20℃.
Note: The domestic weight cup meeting this standard is called "QBB specific gravity cup".
3.2 Constant-temperature bath or thermostatic chamber: capable of maintaining a temperature of 23±1℃.
