This part of GB/T 14598 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, labelling, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of arc flash protection equipment.
This part is applicable to arc flash protection equipment and their interface equipment (hereinafter referred to as the "equipment") and serves as the basis for product design, manufacture, test and application.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.1, GB/T 2900.17 and GB/T 2900.49 and the following apply

arc flash protection equipment
protection equipment used for rapidly disconnecting the corresponding failure equipment via outlet, with the arc flash signal generated during failure of primary power equipment as the main criteria and with the current signal and other failure quantities as the auxiliary criteria

arc flash sensor
sensor used for sensing the arc flash intensity
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 Environmental Conditions
4.1.1 Normal working atmospheric conditions
Normal working atmospheric conditions are as follows:
a) Ambient temperature: -10℃~+55℃;
b) Relative humidity: 5%~95% (there shall be no condensation or freezing inside the equipment);
c) Atmospheric pressure: 86kPa~106kPa.
