This standard specifies the determination method of flammability of textile for apparel and the three grades for the rating of such inflammability.
This standard is applicable to the determination of fierceness degree and speed rate of flame once a flammable textile on a consumer is ignited.

3.1 Pile
The fabrics surfaces with various piles, such as teased pile, napped pile, tufted pile, flocked pile or similar piles.
3.2 Flammability
The ability of materials or articles to flame under specified test conditions.
3.3 Flame spread rate
The distance of flame spread within a unit time under specified test conditions.
