1.1 This standard specifies the method of determination with human olfactory organ for odor concentration of odor pollution source exhaust and environmental air samples.
1.2 This standard is applicable to the determination for odor concentration of gas samples of various odor sources discharged in different forms and environmental air samples. The samples include the ones containing a kind of odorous substance and the composite ones containing two or more kinds of odorous substances.
1.3 The determination method in this standard is not restricted by the type, quantity, concentration range and component concentration ratio of the odorous substance.
2 Terms
2.1 Odor concentration
Odor concentration is a quantified index of the degree of odor tested by olfactory organ method, and it is the dilution ratio when odor samples are continuously diluted with odorless clean air to the panel threshold value.
2.2 Odor threshold value
