This Standard specifies the terms used in this Standard, the general requirements of test procedures and test object, the generation of test voltage and current, test method, processing method of test result, as well as the evidence for qualification judgement of the test.
This Standard is applicable to tests on the following equipments having its highest voltage for equipment Um above 1 kV:
a) Dielectric tests with direct voltage;
b) Dielectric tests with alternating voltage;
c) Dielectric tests with lighting impulse voltage;
d) Dielectric tests with operating impulse voltage;
e) Dielectric tests with combined and synthetical impulse voltage;
f) Tests with impulse current.
