This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of laminate flooring.
This standard is applicable to laminate flooring.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

laminate flooring
flooring formed by the simultaneous action of heat and pressure, with a surface layer consisting of one or more layers of special papers, impregnated with thermosetting amino resin and bonded on a substrate such as such as particleboard, high density fibreboard and other wood-based panels, usually finished with a backing used as a balancing layer and a finishing used as wearing layer, with a trade mark name of reinforced wood floor
