This standard specifies requirements for the on-board electrochemical storage of energy for the propulsion of exclusively battery-powered electric road vehicles for the purpose of protecting persons and the vehicle environment.
This standard is applicable to the electric passenger car only if the maximum working voltage of the on-board electrical circuit is lower than 660V (AC) or 1000V(DC) or lower, according to GB 156 and the electric commercial vehicle only if the maximum design total mass is less than or equal to 3500kg. It may be a reference to electric vehicles with the maximum design total mass greater than 3500kg.
It does not necessarily apply to assembly, maintenance and repair of these vehicles.
