1 ScopeThe standard specifies the content, size, form, weight, permissible tolerance, technical conditions, experiment, checking rules, packaging, label and quality certification of hot-rolled steel plate and strip of carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel
This standard is applicable to 3mm- 400mm thick hot-rolled steel plate or 3mm- 245mm thick hot-rolled steel strip of carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel.

3 Purchasing Content
3.1 According to this standard, purchasing contract or order shall include the following items:
a) Standard No;
b) Product name (single-rolled steel plate, continuously rolled plate and steel strip);
c) Label;
d) Size;
e) Rim condition (trimming EC, non-trimming EM;
f) Categories of Permissible thickness tolerance of single-rolled steel plate (N, A, B and C);
g) Thickness accuracy of steel strip and continuously rolled steel plate (PT.A and PT.B);
h) Weight;
I) Delivery condition;
J) Usage;
K) Special requirements;
3.2 If there are no clear specifications for items from e) to g) in the purchasing contract, then the following provisions shall be abided by:
a) The single rolled steel plate usually will be delivered with trimming four edges; while the steel strip will be delivered with non-trimming; the steel plate sheared by steel strip will be delivered with trimming edges; the steel strip applies non-trimming delivery, while the steel plate sheared by steel strip applies trimming delivery;
b) The permissible thickness tolerance of single-rolled steel plate applies symmetrical tolerance (N category)
c) The thickness accuracy of steel strip and/or continuously rolled steel plate applies to general accuracy (PT.A category);
