This Standard specifies a method for determination of nickel in foods with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
This Standard is applicable to the determination of nickel in various foods.
Method I: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry
2 Principle
The samples shall undergo digestive treatment, and then shall be put into the graphite furnace of atomic absorption spectrophotometer; after electrothermal atomization, resonance line at 232.0 nm is absorbed; its absorbance is proportional to nickel content; quantitation shall be conducted by comparing with standard series.
As for this method, the detection limit is 1.4 ng/mL and the linearity range is 0 ng/mL~100 ng/mL.
