This part of GB/T 5359 specifies the terms for motorcycles and mopeds - type of vehicles.
This part is applicable to motorcycles and mopeds running on highway and urban road and off-road motorcycle and moped.
2 Terms and Definitions
2.1 Terms of mopeds

moped
the vehicle with two or three wheels with maximum design speed not greater than 50km/h and capacity of engine (if any) not greater than 50mL and the vehicle with maximum net power of engine not greater than 4kW, complete vehicle kerb mass not greater than 400kg and symmetrical arrangement of three wheels in portrait central plane
2.1.2
electric moped
the moped driven by electricity, which is classified into the following electric mopeds with two wheels and three wheels:
a) Electric moped with two wheels: motorcycle with two wheels driven by electricity under one of the following conditions:
——Maximum design speed is greater than 20km/h and less than or equal to 50km/h;
——Complete vehicle kerb mass is greater than 40kg and maximum design speed is not greater than 50km/h;
