This part of GB/T 5359 specifies the terms related to performances of motorcycles and mopeds.
This part is applicable to the motorcycles and mopeds (hereinafter referred to as "motorcycles") defined in GB/T 5359.1.

3.1 Terms related to stopping ability
3.1.1
stopping ability
quickness degree of process during which a motorcycle is compelled to stop immediately by manipulating brake under specified driving speed
3.1.2
stopping distance
displacement of motorcycle during period from manipulating brake to complete stop of motorcycle in specified passage under specified test conditions
3.1.3
braking force
force for motorcycle preventing wheel rolling along tangential direction of tyre when it's in braking state, under specified test conditions
3.1.4
braking deceleration
deceleration obtained by motorcycle in certain time due to action of brake system under specified test conditions

heat fade
temporary reduction degree of braking efficiency of brake due to effect of friction heat after motorcycle brake continuously works under specified test conditions
