1 Scope
This part of JB/T 5000 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, acceptance regulations, sign and certification of non ferrous casting.
This part is applicable to the copper alloy, aluminum alloy, and zinc alloy castings produced by the sand mold, metal mold and centrifugal casting methods.

3 Technical Requirements
3.1 Chemical Composition and Mechanical Property
3.1.1 Chemical composition and mechanical property of aluminum alloy casting shall meet the requirements of GB/T 1173.
3.1.2 Chemical composition and mechanical property of zinc alloy casting shall meet the requirements of GB/T 1175.
3.1.3 Chemical composition and mechanical property of copper alloy casting shall meet the requirements of GB/T 1173.
3.1.3.1 For the copper alloy castings that bear heavy load and are used for key positions, such as worm gear, wheel rim, and screw box and those whose maximum size is more than 500mm, mechanical property shall be used as the key acceptance basis. Little deviation is permitted in the chemical composition and its value shall be 10% of upper and lower limits of percentage composition for each main component.
3.1.3.2 For various bushings, bearing bush as well as sliding plate type copper alloy casting that bear light loads, are used for general positions and the maximum size is not greater than 500mm, chemical composition or mechanical property both can be taken as the acceptance basis; if either of them is qualified, it can be considered as qualification; the other one is only used for reference but it must have data.
3.2 Dimensional Tolerance and Configuration of Tolerance Zone
3.2.1 Dimensional tolerance shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6414; common class code and tolerance see Table 1. The same casting shall select the same tolerance class and tolerance class shall be selected according to basic size of rough casting.
3.2.2 Dimensional tolerance zone for Castings shall be distributed symmetrically in relation To basic size of rough casting, namely half of tolerance shall be located above the basic size and other half shall be below the basic size (see Figure 1). If there is special requirement, tolerance zone also can be distributed asymmetrically but must be noted in drawing or specified in technological document.
