This standard specifies the methods for magnetic particle inspection, magnetization specification, inspection procedure and acceptance rules of parts of rolling bearings for railway locomotive and rolling stock (hereinafter referred to as "railway bearings").
This standard is applicable to the magnetic particle inspection of for cracks of surface and near-surface and magnetic particle inspection of other defects of railway bearing parts made from ferromagnetic materials and for other defects.
