This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, application instruction, packaging, transportation and storage of guide rails.
This standard is applicable to guide rails for drawer; as for other guide rails and extension element, this standard may be implemented by reference.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terminologies and definitions apply.
3.1
Catch device
Devices which keep or arrest a component at certain position.
Note: catch device is opened without auxiliary behavior, such as magnetic or self-closing mechanical device.
3.2
Extension element
Components capable of being pushed in and pulled out, such as drawer, hanging file packet and keyboard tray.
3.3
Loading capacity
M
Maximum strength that the rail can bear and rail durability. The maximum loading capacity is equal to the test load and determined based on the following contents:
a) Deadweight = the mass of the whole drawer, including that of the metal ornament installed on the drawer;
b) Added load = payload.
Note: test load=deadweight + added load.
