3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, terms and definitions demarcated in GB/T 8264, GB/T 14441 and GB/T 5206.5 and those listed below apply.

Coating system
Assembly of paints and relevant products (such as putty) which are applied on some kind of substrate and provide anti-corrosion protection, generally composed of primer and finish or primer, intermediate paint and finish. Each coat has certain functions and helps to realize optimized anti-corrosion protection through the coating system.
