This standard specifies general provisions for the design of safety device for the freight car for the sake of personal safety and freight car security.
This standard is applicable to new open-top car, box car, flat car, tank car, thermal car and hopper car with standard railway gauge. Other freight cars may refer to this standard. Unless otherwise specified in the design specification, all of them shall be in accordance with this standard.

3 General Requirements
3.1 Vehicle outline shall meet those specified in GB 146.1.
3.2 Strength of main parts of the freight car shall meet those specified in TB/T 1335.
3.3 Any exposed parts which are easy to hurt people shall be provided with safety measures against chamfering etc.
3.4 The floor of the freight car shall be arranged with goods fixing devices as required.
3.5 Brake control valve and detachable valve cover shall be provided with such measures against missing as protective hood or safety chain.
