This standard specifies the contents of classifications, general technical requirements, overall requirements, the characteristic requirements of all parts, completion requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and other aspects of the bogies of railway passenger coach.
This standard is applicable to the bogies of new railway passenger coach whose design speed of standard-gage railway is not greater than 200km/h, and it also can be taken as reference to the bogies of electric multiple units.
